Mike Miller: (18/01/00) Reopened recently, having being sold to Ridleys. It seems quite decent now - medium size, decor is neutral, the beer seems okay (four Ridleys beers on when I visited) and not too expensive, and the atmosphere seems okay too. Big red telephone box used as a massive fish tank! Small TV in one corner remains from the old Alma. This place seemed to have a bad reputation in the past, but I found it okay. Anyway, go and have a look at the only Ridleys pub in the area, at least it's variety from Greene King...

Richard Kastein: Rather too dark which always makes me suspicious but a lot of students producing a pretty lively atmosphere.
