Mike Miller: (18/01/00) A quite large, quite pleasant Whitbread pub, it usually has a good beer range (but has been known once or twice to have very little 'real' ale on). Prices reasonably average I believe (it has been a little while since I've visited here). The outside section is nice, on multiple levels, and overlooks the Cam. Food was reasonable, not especially cheap and not especially outstanding, but no real complaints. Worth having a look at, but I'm not quite sure why it gets into various Good Pub Guides (not CAMRA's Good Beer Guide I may add) - it's not *that* good.

Richard Kastein: Only been here once, on St Patrick's Day 1997 and the shamrock shape on the head of my Guinness was a nice touch. Was fairly quiet. The furniture was maybe slightly tatty (but don't take this as gospel as I can't really remember as it was a long time ago).
