Mike Miller: (18/01/00) A place that's seen quite a lot of changes in recent years, but is now a pretty good pub. Used to be a rather pink pub (or so people tell me), it then hosted Zak's Mexican food for a while. This all means it was refurb-ed quite recently. Lots of bare wood and a clock collection! The beer is always on (in my experience) and is Tetleys and Pedigree, at not outrageous prices. The best thing however is the very cheap and reasonably good food. It's the cheapest pub food I've had in Cambridge, and it's also really rather good. Speedily delivered and well-presented too. At least one fruit machine; juke box that isn't usually too loud. Some newspapers on occasion. Generally seems rather empty, but then it is reasonably big. Live music introduced recently on Tuesday evenings. So nothing fantastically good as a pub, but the food makes it stand out.

Andrew Hollingsworth: (11/03/99) A very smart pub since refurbishment. Food good and at student affordable prices. Washed down with a Pedigree, when others say its good, I have to agree.

Old reviews...

Richard Kastein: There was a party going on when we were there. Comfortably furnished I seem to remember. According to a tourist guide, 'a mainly gay clientele.'
